Michele, a native Oregonian, began Adult Placement Network in 1997 with a heartfelt desire to make a profound contribution to seniors and disabled persons. By developing a step-by-step process specifically designed to guide families through the maze of living options available, she has successfully assisted hundreds of families find appropriate living solutions either for themselves or loved ones, stress free. Michele was introduced to the senior industry by having owned and operated an Adult Foster Care Home of her own from 1997-2001. This experience gave her the opportunity to see first hand the needs of seniors and the frail elderly. She found this to be an extraordinary opportunity that offered invaluable training in developing her placement and referral agency. Inspired by her passion to serve people, Michele also assists those who qualify for Medicaid, as well as those who have mental health issues or who are developmentally disabled. She offers them the identical standard of service she so strongly believes everyone deserves. Michele graduated from Western Oregon State College with honors in Education. She has served as president of the Multnomah county chapter of Adult Care Providers of Oregon. She is presently a member of Metropolitan Senior Network, Oregon Long Term Care Social Workers Association, Seniors First , Advantage Program through NW Prudential Properties, the Oregon Gerontological Association and volunteers for Elders in Action. She is co-founder and vice president of Oregon Senior Referral Association, the first association begun for placement and referral agencies. |
