Kathy Boyd has spent a lifetime speaking and performing publicly. Her 20+ year background in the long-term care industry has covered all levels of care including skilled nursing, intermediate care, residential care, assisted and independent living, and hospice care.

While in the field of long-term care, Ms. Boyd’s special interest became Alzheimer’s and related dementias. She holds her state certification in “The Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s Care” and continues to work as a registered speaker with the Alzheimer’s Association in their mission of education and compassionate help for both those afflicted with the disease and their family members. She also leads an Alzheimer’s Support group the third Monday of each month in Wilsonville.

A member of the Odyssey Hospice team in Portland where she serves as the Admissions Coordinator, Ms. Boyd is thrilled to have any opportunity to speak to groups about a variety of topics relating to aging and end of life. Her message is one of hope, compassion and love.

A resident of Tualatin, Oregon, Ms. Boyd can also be seen around the region as an emcee, a performing musician, and grandmother to Caitlyn and Christian!
